Derek Roy

President

Derek is the president of Sentinel Private Wealth. With over 24 years of experience in different investment and financial services divisions, Derek focuses on building trust in client relationships by providing a personalized service to each one of them.

Derek graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from North Carolina State University and is a Level III CFA Candidate. He is also a former Vice-President for Mergers & Acquisitions at CollaborativeWEALTH® and former Regional Vice President of Pacific Life Insurance.

A lifelong student of the markets, Derek took a leap of faith in opening up an office to a major investment firm and has not looked back since. He enjoys interacting with clients, shedding light on their unspoken wants and needs and providing them with a high level of service and attention.

Derek and his wife, Kristi have two amazing boys, Lucas and Thomas. When he’s not in the office he enjoys coaching youth sports and training for obstacle course races.

Scott Pollaci

Senior Vice President

For 24 years, Scott Pollaci has built a reputation as an analytical professional known for transforming complex information into clear, actionable advice. After 18 years as Senior Investment Consultant and Managing Director for RBC Rochdale, he chose to step away from the corporate world in favor of providing truly independent financial advice.

In his prior role, Scott partnered with over 200 Independent advisors, designing custom plans and managing assets for their most complex and demanding clients. Scott’s team advised on clients from millions to hundreds of millions in assets. He has developed a reputation of being “Your financial advisor’s favorite financial advisor”.  

A lifetime learner, Scott holds both a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designations. In recent years, he completed Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA®) and Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®) designations as well.

Earlier in his career Scott worked as an Investment Consultant at TD Waterhouse and as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley. During this time, he earned his MBA from the University of Central Florida.

Outside the office, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife, Vanessa, and 8-year-old son Austin.  He’s an avid skier, a meticulous traveler, and someone who thrives on exploring new experiences. Whether in professional settings or personal adventures, Scott brings a blend of discipline, wit, and enthusiasm that elevates every interaction.

Rita Zoldan

Director of Operations

In her role as Director of Operations, Rita can be described as the firm’s organizational master. She manages all day-to-day functions for the firm and keeps things running smoothly and efficiently. Her daily focus is the planning, directing and coordinating of operational activities. She is also responsible for the strategic implementation of policies and procedures necessary for increased company efficiency.

An outstanding communicator, Rita serves as liaison between company representatives while aiding in the facilitation, establishment, and growth of client relationships.

In short, Rita is the glue that keeps things together at Sentinel Private Wealth.

Kyle Amati

Associate

Kyle has considerable experience in the wealth management industry.  In his current role at Sentinel Private Wealth, he works with specialists at our partner firms to facilitate a coordinated approach to the high level of financial care that our clients have come to expect.
 
He began his career in the business as an intern at a boutique firm in Annapolis, MD, while pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree at Towson University.  After graduation, he accepted a position with Morgan Stanley, where he worked closely with the US and European Trading Team, facilitating operations support within the hedge fund processing unit.  This was a fast-paced position in a group managing the financial risk of high net worth clients and hedge funds with assets exceeding $100 billion.
 
After relocating to Florida to be closer to family, Kyle held positions with Singer Wealth as a client operations specialist and with Banyan Global Advisors as a member of a team specializing in the management of high net worth individual clients.
 
In his spare time, Kyle enjoys travelling, boating and snowboarding.  He also enjoys giving back through his involvement with Habitat for Humanity and Toys for Tots.
